A complex of storms head toward Texoma

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Temperatures in Texoma will be hot once again before we see a brief relief from the heat. The low tonight in Wichita Falls will be 74 degrees, while tomorrow's high temperature will reach 98 with a heat index value as high as 105 degrees. However, by Sunday night, temperatures drop into the upper 60s across much of the area. Starting off the workweek, highs are expected to be in the mid-80s. By the end of the week, temperatures will be back closer to average, with highs in the mid and upper 90s and lows in the mid-70s.

In the meantime, as Hurricane Beryl continues its pathway through the Gulf, plenty of moisture will be pushing northward, meeting up with a complex of storms that will likely have an impact on intensity of storms developing in Texoma starting Sunday and ending early Monday. The thunderstorm outlook suggests severe storms are possible across the area with heavy rainfall, strong damaging winds, and hail.
