Big Job Fair coming to Castaway Cove for summer job opportunities

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — As warmer weather slides in, Castaway Cove is gearing up to hire its summertime park employees.

Castaway Cove will be hosting its Big Job Fair on Tuesday, March 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the waterpark at 1000 Central Freeway East.

Annual Senior Blast Off attracts over 250 high school seniors

Offering great, real work experience for eager and enthusiastic team members, individuals 16 years old and older are encouraged to apply, according to the website.

“We are looking for energetic, outgoing and well-presented team members who enjoy creating a positive experience for our guests,” stated General Manager Steve Vaughn online.

The park has also made improvements in boosting employee retention, according to H Two Marketing and Management President Jimmy Holmes at the city council meeting on March 19.

"We wanted to increase the pay for employees because it was a little bit low. So, that's one of the things we did," Holmes said. "We also introduced staff parties and we had office programs that helped retain people through the end of the season to help boost morale."

The Big Job Fair will offer employment opportunities for all departments, including lifeguards, retail, food and beverage, admissions, group sales and maintenance and grounds.

Interested applicants should apply in person at the job fair and come dressed in interview-appropriate attire, according to the website.
