Cloud coverage will redevelop in the area this afternoon. Those clouds and northeasterly winds will help to keep afternoon temperatures in the mid-80s for afternoon highs. Tonight, temperatures will fall back down into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall earlier this morning and will continue to batter southeastern parts of Texas throughout the day and the hurricane continues moving to the north-northeast and clear out of the area by Tuesday.

Power outages and localized flooding will continue to plague parts of Texas for today and the next couple of days as the region will patch things up later this week.
