Mother arrested when baby shows very high meth level

IOWA PARK (KFDX/KJTL) — An Iowa Park woman is jailed after tests showed her 1-year-old had an extremely high level of meth in his system, according to authorities.

Wendy Durham is charged with child endangerment with a $25,000 bond.

A Child Protective Service case worker contacted Iowa Park Police on Monday, April 15, and reported that Durham had tested positive for meth and that her 1-year-old son had been removed from her custody.

She also reported the infant had tested positive with a level of 10,306, which authorities said is very high, even for an adult.

According to police, Durham admitted she and her family use meth with the child in the same room.
