Sweet Shiba has a pep in her step and a flop in her ears: Electra Animal Control

ELECTRA (KFDX/KJTL) — Shiba is a peppy puppy with the floppiest ears, and she can't wait to come home with you.

Shiba, a 12-week-old mixed-breed dog from Electra Animal Control, is about as free-spirited and friendly as they come.

Since her arrival to animal control in early June, little Shiba has yet to be claimed, making her ready to settle down and find her forever home.

Whether she's basking in neck scratches or bouncing around her favorite friends, two-legged or four-legged, Shiba just wants to be where the action is. True to her playful puppy ways, this girl wants to explore new sights and strangers alike.

Don't be fooled by her energy, however—Shiba loves to lounge about in the nearest lap all the same.

As the Electra Animal Shelter quickly fills up, however, it's important that Shiba and other black dogs and cats find their families; according to pet technicians, black animals, Chihuahuas and Pit Bulls are often overlooked and frequently face euthanasia.
