Two hospitalized after car drives into moving train in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Two people were hospitalized following an incident where a car drove into a passing train Tuesday afternoon.

According to Wichita Falls Police Officers, shortly before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, a car traveling south on North Broadway hit a moving train.

Police at the scene said the driver appeared to have had a medical episode and drove her car through the lowered railroad arm and into a passing train.

The driver and one passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There was a third person in the car, but police said they were uninjured.
