Volcano BBQ and Hot Pot announces opening date in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — After a lengthy renovation process, a new Wichita Falls Korean Barbeque restaurant will soon open its doors.

Volcano Korean BBQ and Hot Pot will officially open on Saturday, April 20, 2024, after originally planning to open over a year ago.

"Delicious sushi and teriyaki," Volcano staff posted online. "Open 4/20/2024. See y’all soon."

The restaurant is located at 3110 Midwestern Pkwy Ste A, across from Sikes Senter Mall and previously occupied by 5 Guys and Pho Corner. This new restaurant promises to be an "All-you-can-eat, authentic Korean BBQ and Chinese Hot Pot" spot after announcing a further delay in opening in August 2023.

"We regret to inform you that we must further delay our opening until September," the August post read. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as we share the same eagerness to welcome you to our restaurant. There are a few crucial tasks that require completion before we can open our doors, and we are committed to making it happen as soon as possible."

While one of Volcano's websites says the food will be a fusion of Korean and Chinese food, another website with the same name and physical address says they will serve Japanese fusions.
