Wichita Falls firefighters rescue person pinned under mower

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — One individual was hospitalized after they were pinned underneath a riding lawn mower on Thursday afternoon.

The call came in at around 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024. The Wichita Falls Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene in a concrete runoff ravine off of Seymour Highway for a report of a person possibly trapped under a lawn mower.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they discovered an overturned lawn mower in the ravine with a person pinned underneath it.

Several WFFD firefighters worked to free the individual from underneath the lawn mower. They were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

According to our crew on the scene, a witness heard somebody calling for help, prompting them to call 911.
